Sudharak Olwe * .09.03.1966

Currently the chief photographer of Bombay Times, of The Times of India, Sudharak Olwe has an extensive body of work, ranging from various social issues and geographies across India, Bangladesh, Sweden, Portugal, Holland, the US and Japan. In 1999-2000, he was the recipient of the National Foundation of India Media Fellowship.

The following year, the World Press Photo chose him as the only photographer from India to exhibit at the World Press Photo Exhibition held in Amsterdam, for his photo stories on gender and the environment. In 2004, he published his first book, Spirited Souls: Winning Women of Mumbai (Samay Books). The subsequent year, he was honoured with the prestigious All Roads Photographers Award by National Geographic for his work on conservancy workers of Mumbai, which was exhibited in Los Angeles and Washington DC.
